On the morning of June 28, 2026, I listened to a sermon from Pastor Eli, and the message touched me deeply. As a newly baptized Christian, I felt that God was speaking directly to my heart. What I retained from the sermon is simple but powerful: as children of God, we must learn how to pursue our blessings, speak life over ourselves, and believe in the power of the Holy Spirit who lives inside us.
Pastor Eli reminded us that we are not powerless. We are not empty. We are not alone. We all have the same Holy Spirit in us. Whether someone has been in the church for many years or has only recently given their life to Christ, the Spirit of God is available to all who believe. That message was important to me because the day before marked a sad moment in my life. I was feeling very down. I was thinking about, “What is my next step? Where do I go from here? What is God asking me to do?” In that moment of uncertainty, Pastor Eli said something that stayed with me: all we need is FAITH. The rest becomes easier when we trust God.
For a long time, I doubted myself. I questioned the power God had placed in me. Other people also doubted me. Sometimes, when people doubt you long enough, you begin to doubt yourself, too. But the sermon reminded me that my IDENTITY is not built on people’s opinions. My identity is built on what God says about me. As children of God, we must learn to prophesy over ourselves. That means we must speak words of faith, courage, and victory over our lives. Instead of saying, “I cannot do it,” we must learn to say, “With God, I can.” Instead of saying, “My future is finished,” we must say, “God is still writing my story.” Instead of accepting fear, shame, or discouragement, we must declare that the Holy Spirit is alive in us. Pastor Eli’s message also helped me understand that blessings do not always come to people who sit and wait without faith.
Sometimes, we must “hunt down” our blessings. We must pray, move, believe, work, and trust God at the same time. Faith is not just about words; faith is also about action.
After this message, like Julius Caesar used to say, “Veni, Vidi, vici”, “I came, I saw, I won”, I don’t come to Christ my Savior to be a loser, I’m a winner, I have the biggest weapon “FAITH”. I will have what I want, how I want it, in the name of Jesus. God always spoils his children.
. Faith gives us courage when life becomes heavy. Faith helps us stand when we feel weak. Faith reminds us that God is not finished with us. Faith allows us to look at our pain and still believe that something better is coming.
